  1. Some of its definetly fraud but the real cause is the fact the agency is severely under staffed. This is in addition to the fact Baltimore has a murder epidemic that requires cops to work overtime at murder scenes.

  2. 1:43…"everything we axe for"? Dude, with that king of vocabulary, you're lucky to have a job. That eloquent speaker, Martin Luther King Jr., is rolling over in his grave. This is the culture that he died for.

  3. 0:23 Discretionary spending needs to be cut ……How much? In half!! And brought down to what fire Depts are allowed. This needs to happen Nation wide………Absolutely NOmore exceeding the overtime budget…..

  4. Police should not be making as much as doctors, as many of them are. And PDs do not need brand new vehicles every few years. So much waste, and these public servants have standards of living way higher than average Americans. Outrageous.

  5. things have really deteriorated in Baltimore in the last few years, they are even worse than what was portrayed in the wire

  6. " The Wire " come to life !

If the overtime is justified then the police union officials should have no problem answering the citizens and councils questions. And if they tell us the truth then it will probably go a lot easier for them .

Where have I heard that before ???

  7. Why aren't these jobs salaried if overtime is such an issue I mean that is what is done to managers who are paid far less why should the general public that cops work FOR be able to milk taxpayers? If they are able to to this(it means the system has been engineered to function in this manner from the very tippy top down otherwise this wouldn't be so systemwide) it means they aren't working for the public they're working for a separate class structure an oligarchy posing as state-federal governmental systems in order to fraud the public as to what they truly are. WTF does this guy mean we "want to know" like any employer employee relationship you don't just get $ if you aren't transparent you aren't working for your boss you are working for yourself & most certainly shouldn't get a penny for doing so. Transparency comes first then comes your paycheck you don't get paid & then maybe later tell your boss what you did they either know what they're paying for or the relationship is a conspiracy a crime perpetrated upon the public who truly foot the bill for the entire chain of command who are refusing to do their jobs yet taking the publics $.

  8. A large california city government claims it has no money for homeless people. Overtime has to be paid. They spent over a hundred thousand for police overtime incurred during 2016 for all the raids on the homeless encampments.

  9. Wasn't it Baltimore where they got caught paying police officers overtime while they were on vacation? The police payroll clerks and supervisors need to get canned and somebody needs to start watching the overtime "cookie jar".
