Speaking to a crowd at the site of the collapse, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore declared Saturday that the Key Bridge “must” and “will” be rebuilt. A cargo ship slammed into the bridge in Baltimore on Tuesday morning, causing it to come crashing down into the river, and killing six construction workers. The largest crane on the eastern seaboard arrived early Friday at the site of the collapse and can move 1,000 tons. Another crane, capable of transporting 400 tons, is expected to arrive over the weekend.

Do not rebuild the Key Bridge. Why not do somethng innovative, forward thinking and better? Use all the money received from the offender ship, the feds disaster relief funds and from offending ship ins carriers to help Baltimore! To award a great number of contracts for local contractorsin Baltimore and surrounding area to bid in a competetive market. All bids must benefit the environmeny, the children, fund the police, help infrastructure in Baltimore and ensure the money remains local, to beneft children and families in and around Baltimore.
