Sorry that is incorrect. The temperature of LNG is approximately -260°F or -160°C
You don't see LNG pipelines because you don't have to liquify it to put it in a pipe. It's a gas, it flows real nice. Good job glossing over and dancing around facts that are not convenient for your argument. You are doing a disservice to your cause by misleading the sheep.
Higher temperature rated steel for rails? Please. Check the strength of pearlitic steel for rails at 23 C and 75 C. Not a strength issue and very misleading. All they will do is leave a bigger gap between rails.

Debabrata Banerjee: Unlike single skin rail road oil tanks, rail road LNG tanks are double skin & vacuum insulated like a thermos flask. Europe has been using these successfully not only in railroads but also as long distance road tankers in their distribution system. It should be noted that both US & Canada uses these LNG tanks as road tankers for distribution to users. Ports in Europe have done extensive risk analysis on navigation of LNG carrying ships or ships powered by LNG in port vicinity & each ship has to adhere to its own specific safety proceedure.
The question is political will to technically solve & evolve appropriate safety standard & institute the regulatory decipline.

Very fine interview, and I appreciated Justin making reference to the BAD rail oil accident that occurred in Lac-Mégantic, formerly called only Mégantic, but not Lac or Lake Mégantic, which is only for the lake there (need to use the hyphen for the town). I knew it occurred during recent years but wouldn't have thought it was as far back as 2013. I reside in an eastern or central eastern area of the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Sherbrooke, so definitely learned of this very NASTY train derailment. Didn't get an opportunity to visit though, not when this incident happened. Haven't been to Lac-Mégantic for a LONG time. Based on what I read about it, re. the damage caused, it definitely would've been interesting to visit at that time. If I remember correctly, then either all or certainly much of the downtown or center of town was badly affected. There was news reporting about this, but it seemed to cease fairly quickly. There is a propane shortage for drying grains. Is it possible to substitute liquid natural gas in some way to assist farmers in the drying of grains?

LNG ships were outlawed in Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors in the 1970s as there are no legitimate safety protections that can be made.
