1. Samsung faced a backlash when it was found that the moon photography in s23 ultra is completely fake and AI generated. Now, this AI gimmick looks like a cover up for the same.

   Turning allegation into a revamp is genius marketing!!

2. Somehow Samsung always manages to disappoint with any software implementation. My guess is that the hardware will be fine but the software will be completely mediocre. I hope I am wrong.

3. I'm curious to see the "get around," for live translations when there are no equivalents for certain words or phrases from one language to the next in some instances. I think this generative ai shit is going to be a flop, at least @ the beginning.

4. AI is not there yet as true AI and is even a bigger waste of a term on a phone. Perhaps when AI ages and becomes true AI, it MIGHT be useful on a phone. This is all my opinion of course.

5. Agree. If it becomes a part of the experience without it screaming from the rooftops that it's there, then they've succeeded. I'm not that optimistic though because Samsung has had a shot at it with bixby and they were average at best. Time will tell if the new chips will be that difference though.

10. Duh. It's always been a gimmick. Same with their foldable phones that scratches at a level 2 with deeper grooves at level "breathing too hard".

11. AI does feel like a marketing gimmick.
    Samsung is good at making phones but their software, cough BIXBY *cough*, is dirt poor. Something tells me that the AI is gonna go the way of bixby

ALL of this tat FAKE AI is useless – just ask this magic FAKE AI for the simplest thing like change Setting in smartphone so you LEARN about its brainless yeti "INTELLIGENCE" and…….. now there are news Samsung gonna ask for subscription to use it!!!!! Good bye AI next year – same as happened with 3D displays about 10 years ago – and same as VR which headsets sold in 90s and much more

21. Seems like the majority of the new features are software and as so they'll probably make their way to the older models no real need to upgrade.

22. I agree completely with your perspective. Every phone manufacturer can make a phone with top of the line hardware…. But software and AI is where innovation will be in the future. Im really hoping Samsung leans fully into AI and leaps ahead of google. If samsung can combo the best hardware with the most innovative AI features…. I think we can expect them to further widen the gap on android market share. As a oneplus user for the last 7 years…. Having the best hardware means nothing if there is not software to use it…. Im excited for the S24 Ultra.. if they bring robust AI features… I will purchase one.

24. It's just buzz word, except for maybe live call translation, nothing I see in s24u is solving any critical problem. We don't need generative AI in smart phones either. We aren't using our phones for work or productivity. Majority uses phones for total opposite
