  12. Get a 4th or 5th gen Camaro for your drag car. You need an LS and a Chevy on the channel and the LS makes a great budget platform, all kinds of used, junk yard, and cheap parts out there… But the most budge of all budgets is the 5.3L LM7, they came in trucks, they are made of iron, and it's an LS. You can get a LM7 for about $500 and boost them to the moon because the iron is so strong and there are literally millions of them out there. The LM7 is one of the most common GM engines ever made and they are bulletproof. You can run one for literally quarter million miles and then make it into a drag engine without machining anything.

  15. Lexus SC300 for the budget drag car! Cheapest 2J you can get, they look cool, 2 doors, rwd, and the engine can handle quite a bit of power with an upgraded gasket and head studs.
