Integra Type R Restoration (Part 1) #ETCGBlackBeard

I have no lift, limited access to my tools, and I have a little less than a week to complete the restoration on my 2000 Integra Type R before I sell it. Join me as fight the rust and 20 years of neglect to bring this car back to its original glory as one of the best FWD cars ever made.

  1. I really really really hope someone doesn't butcher and destroy this perfectly unmolested type r! This car has been so well maintained and they are almost impossible to find in this condition!

  2. It would be my honor to do that alignment for you Eric.. the car is looking great. Nice to one them there automobiles not slammed or ragged out very cool..

  3. Don't sale that eric. I have been watching you for over a decade. You are the mechanic goat of youtube. Is nice to see someone that don't cut corners and get in there with the cars. Thank you for helping me fixing stuff through the years.

  4. Love seeing the videos again and you back in action. I feel bad that the Type R needs to be sold, but I understand and hope the new owner understands what they are getting.

  5. Ive literally just got done doing this sort a work on a EK Honda Civic EX and i know its a bit over kill for just a civic BUT i have been a owner to a brand new car prior and oh my goodness the ease it was to maintenance it with out having to worry about ceased bolts and nuts was just a delux that i just HAD to do it to my little old civic as well. Still working on it! Hoping to get it as new as possible. Maybe pass it on to my son one day.

  6. Eric first I sorry that you need to sell your car and love watching your videos again I missed watching your videos and you must miss your lift when you are under the car 😂 watching from South Africa

  7. So much heavy breathing while laying under the car doing the smallest jobs. I'm not hating because I know how it feels to be getting old too. I am just surprised you didn't say "I'm too old for this shit" at any point because I would have.

  8. What do you do about the bolts. I always want to paint everything and make it nice but never know what to do with the bolts. I know I could buy new ones but they don’t have the same style or the tapered end like the suspension bolts.

  9. I feel bad that I am late to the party, but have you tried the weighted sockets you have for the crank bolt? I find that and a large amh battery on a big Milwaukee will brake about anything loose. Well, unless it won't then it's time for the heat. Interested to hear your thoughts. Penetrating oil, little time, little more penetrating oil, little heat (Induction) then a big battery and a weighted socket.
