I have used the bars leak head gasket fix but what I have done is every so often I add more gasket fix to keep it working my 91 Subaru legacy has been this way for almost 4 years now and still going just a thought
what in the world, who did they plan on having install that head gasket at the garage, Hellen Keller? 60 hours at 100 an hour to replace a head gasket good god. I think Ray Charles could do it faster

People are always so quick to change or repair a bad head gasket. Gaskets dont just blow there is always an underlying cause that needs to be fixed first

Question though… what do you do if your car doesn't have a temp gauge.. to know when it's at opt temp.. astra cdtdi 1.3 full tank of water being used every 10 min drive. No leaks from underneath. No white in oil.. YET! Help a gal out.. the car isn't worth a new head gasket just until I find soemthong else…
Hey everyone, I used the Bar's Leaks H1 Head Sealer on a 2003 Honda CRV with 145k miles my daughter let overheat, over a loose lower radiator hose clamp leak. After following the instructions, it worked for me and stopped the white smoke from exiting the tailpipe as well as loss of coolant. The only downside was the loss of cabin heat do to it clogging the heater core. I flushed the system but the overheating, loss of coolant and white smoke returned so I again introduced the Bar's Leaks and all symptoms once again stopped. I actually had to install an electric heater to help keep her warm. She was able to use the vehicle for an additional 3yrs before another unrelated mechanical, situation arose, and we made the decision to donate the vehicle.
