  1. All this over 300 dollars, keep in mind these 2 were ok with this kid committing suicide because he didn't have the 1000 dollars to pay them off. And like Pleasant Green said, had he given the full amount, they would have tried to get more. Who knows how many other people these 2 did this to

  2. As sad as this is but this kind of scam most likely only works in the overly prude US, especially within the bible belt.
I (german) have never heard of scams with outcomes like this in europe. Sextortion by classmates or collegues, yes… but over here it takes much, much, much more than just a d***pic to get even close to this very sad outcome.
Maybe it´s not only the scammers to blame, american society at least has to take some part in it.
Nevertheless, my deepest commiserations for every victim of scams like these.

  3. Impressive work, Vortextrace – I’m grateful that you are actively combating these individuals who lack integrity. We must go above and beyond to protect the elderly and the wider public from these despicable scammers! Kudos to you!! Your dedication to keeping us safe is truly deserving of the highest honor.😊😊

  4. Honestly, we need more people like you. If we had a group of people like you, we could quell the whole loss in no time. I love that you help victims, you can save lives real time like you do, it makes me very satisfied, thank you for giving me my life back nckmythss1

  5. I can't believe how honest could someone be, an Angel in human form. You knew how desperate and eager i was, even willing to pay any amount just to get rid of the sextortion black mailing. But yet you proved how honest you could be. I appreciate you Nckmythss1 You have done well. You kept your promises and it was all erased

  6. Thank you so much for this. I am a Ghanaianyoung lady and I was a victim of sextortion from my ex for years. As a result of the potential embarrassment, I paid him over 20,000 pounds ( he is Ghanaian living in the UK). He shared my pictures with my parents to remind of the damage he could do to me if it went out to the public when I called his bluff.I almost committed suicide from the shame but I just didn't want to die as well. I eventually got the courage to report to the police after 3 years when I realised he was never going to stop. Ps. I endured this for 3 years before I had the courage to tell anyone.

  7. Am a Nigerian and a hard working and honest one but few bad ones give us bad name but am happy they were caught and should be locked up forever

  8. First of all I am Nigerian, and I apologize for my country. It's hurts to think my country is known worldwide as a place filled with scammers.
What this YouTube says is right, it is very common to do this type of fraud back in Nigeria sadly. I left when I was 11 and never went back, not even for a visit because I haven't had the chance yet (I might someday) but mommy said to me the other day:

Mommy: Remember your neighbor back in Nigeria? She is super rich now, she now has a HUGE HUGE house, tons of cars and all

Me: Wow, that's great, how did she afford all of that?

Mommy: Oh her kids bought the whole thing for her, remember them? You guys use to play together.

Me: Oh yea.. How did her kids get that much money? (most people are poor back home)

Mommy: They do does 419 online

    Me: What's that?

Mommy: Oh they scam people online…

Aparently it's so commen it's almost like any other job. Easy to do and gain ton and ton of money. Sadly I think the economy forced a lot of people to do this, but still these people spend most of the money they stole on cars, several houses, jewelry, clothes, trying to look super successful when all they do is steal.

It has even happened to me, random numbers texting me with Nigerian pre-code trying to get me to "work" with/for them in their big company, pretending to be from the same country I now live in but with Nigerian area code number, some don't even try to change their profile pictures before they try these scams out..

There are a lot of things I miss, but there are also so many things I wish I could change, which leaves me with an internal conflict of wanting to be proud of my country but news like theses breaks my heart. Especially reading the text messages these guys sent him, literally telling him to unalive himself..

Again, I know this won't bring him back, or do anything for his love ones or family, but deeply sorry.

  9. Nigerians caused the death of another teen in Canada recently. The number of scams coming out of that country can't just be poverty alone. It is due to greed and a lack of morals.

  10. Their is a boy in my country who spent his hard earned money to fly to a distant country to meet the girl he had met online. Only to discover he had been scammed. The scammer blocked him so he had to fly back home. He had been sending him pictures of a girl when infact he was a man

  11. Your right about both pride and guilt. I worked for a mortuary. I often heard a member of the deceased, apologize, to a parent. It was to late by then! Saying I'm sorry, is as important as saying I've you!

  12. This happened to me through Snapchat but it never ever got sent out and don’t listen to them. I make rlly dumb choices without thinking. Did the same thing and they had my yk what and they said they’ll send it to everyone and idiot me payed them money like almost $400 and they wanted more and I couldn’t do it anymore and I reached a friend about what was going to bc I kept all of that a secret and my friend told me to tell my mom abt all of this and she reached out the fbi and blocked the numbers. They never texted me again and had to make a different Snapchat account. After this, I had to go to therapy from this and it still is in my head. Always tell your parents about these stuff and I love my mom so much. Never ever do this!
