  1. The community pages here in Canada are absolutely overwhelmed with these stupid posts for duct cleaning, car detailing and fake posts about Walmart or other recognizable stores giving away money, or fake posts about apps people are winning money on, or just straight up nonsense videos that seem to be posted for no reason. It’s so bad I’ve had to leave a bunch of un-moderated groups because it’s all spam.

  2. So interesting. I’ve owned a detailing company for 11 years here in Utah. I’ve just started to see these types of fb posts. I thought they were strange

  3. In Baltimore, they have this scam where they make an entire clone website for popular restaurants (to go or delivery part). But they jack the price up by 15-20%. When you order from them, they just forward the order to the real website keeping the inflated difference. You pick up your food or your food is delivered, you are none the wiser you just paid for an unnecessary "service".

  4. When they asked for make & model, I thought they'd come at night and steal the car (if you'd said it was a high value car). Try again using Lamborghini, Porsche or Ferrari.

  5. What's really going on: People are acting dumb by hiring someone who solicits THEM. If you want to hire any service, ask your family, friends & neighbors for a referral. Or, look up LOCAL businesses online, and verify their credentials using Google, Yelp or some other Reviews. Make some phone calls & see if the person sounds legit. Lazy, distracted folks who don't want to do a little RESEARCH up front will get shoddy service or get totally scammed. Great work, Pleasant Green!

  6. I help run a marketplace group and people who try to do this we instantly block them. A lot of them all use the same pictures to show off their detailing, pretty close to the duct cleaning adds!

  7. Well im glad i dont go into facebook often at all. And it seems that a lot of the scams are in social media which i now rarely use except that i watch a lot of youtube

  8. Anyone has a mail Ben use? I want to send him some mail I received where I got informed that Mr. Bahwan Hariri has donated me some millions just like that..

  9. And THIS is why my FB profile is completely locked up. Nobody that I'm not friends with will see anything. Not 1 picture, post, absolutely zip.

Along with that, I have a fake name. Not joking. So unless I give out the profile name, ya just won't find me.

My family, my privacy, too bad if someone doesn't like it.

It's also hilarious when I comment on a group and some shlock complains he can't see my details. Well hmm, why are you trying to creep on me and then stupidly tell me? 😂😂😂😂

  10. Facebook has all kinds of fake advertising. Lots of stuff for sale super cheap with a brand name store. Facebook knows it and won't take any action

  11. Makes the case to deal with your local bricks and mortar vendors instead of online vendors. Thanks for investigating and informing the public

  12. We get a lot of the same scams in Australia that you guys do, I used to work for complaints at Telstra (telecommunications company) here which is a big one they pretend to come from, so you can imagine the fun I had when someone pretending to be from Telstra called me, wasted so much of their time.
