There were all sorts of great Japanese cars built by various companies in the 90’s. The car in this video is one of them. HKS’s T-002, an R33 GTR. Jordan, the new owner, tells a wild story of the process of purchasing the car. On top of that complicated situation, HKS had other plans. They wanted to rebuild the entire car to bring it back to its former glory after sitting outside for a decade! It’s great to see footage of this icon breaking records back in the day, to seeing HKS put love back into it to make the car what it is today. That along with all sorts of complications from Covid and other outside factors, makes for one crazy story!

  13. Crazy to think this isn't 7 figures considering it's a 1 of 1. 400Rs are technically less rare yet they go for well into 7 figures. What a cool story.

  19. love seeing the rare occasional person who actually respects the history and build of a car they buy and maintaining it instead of just ricing it up or even worse just parting and scrapping it.

    these old builds that are what made these cars legendary in the first place deserve the respect.

  20. some people acquire "rare" cars.. some people acquire Bitcoin. In next 10 years, your whatever rare care does not withstand rarity of 1BTC.
    I was a car guy 2004-2018. If I would had the aknowledge of BTC back then, I would be very very wealthy now. Entirely dropped cars out of my interestest zone and I would recommend that to everyone, because still today YOU can afford to get one or even couple of BTC. Later in couple of years, that is not the case anymore.

  21. As a history nerd of old Japanese tuning companies, I have to say this was an oustanding video. I had posters all over my teenage bedroom of cars from HKS, Trust, Blitz, Top Secret, JUN, Yashio Factory, and Top Fuel Japan. I'm really glad that this car went to somebody who has so much nostalgia and appreciation for HKS. Thanks Jordan for sharing your story.
