  1. On a car that old you could have saved so much time and so many "surprise" rust areas by just starting out with a soda blasted body.

  2. How do you choose between body filler and fiberglass when working on the low spots? Why are you using one over the other in certain places? Thanks!

  3. So many people have a shit ton to say about the aesthetic of the car but y’all don’t know shit about engines, transmissions, or wiring 😂. If the worst thing about the car is him rushing the paint, I don’t fucking care. This man put a V10 M5 engine in a 240z…created basically every piece of that car…that’s amazing

  4. How do you stay motivated with these projects? It would take me 3 months to do what you did in a video! Thanks for the great content!

  5. Anybody else think Chris should send the car to get sand blasted before painting, to really know how much rust is on the car

  6. jesus christ the rust police are out today.. im just gonna say this once and leave it here because ive gotta get back to work. you guys need to chill out about 100yr future proof rust prevention right now.. first off, im not done doing work, second off just because i might not be doing things the way or the order you would do them, doesnt mean its "half ass" and "rushing".. and finally the fiberglass filler im using isnt made by bondo, its not a bondo filler with glass reinforcement, its fiberglass, its waterproof, you can use it to patch a hole on a boat.. so please stop acting like im going to store my car at the bottom of the ocean.

  7. You have a deadline and are working with what you've got but all the squatting, kneeling on cement, sitting on cinder blocks leaves the body sore, achy, and tired. Before the next build starts buy some solid metal folding chairs (easy to clean) or stout wood chairs. Build some tables of different heights with 4"x4" frames and 3/4" plywood tops. Add large lockable coasters if you plan to move them around. You'll feel better the next day and ten years from now your body will thank you. Just my $0.02 from experience

  8. Yo Chris listen, I work at a customisation shop, we mainly do wraps and here’s a few pointers just in case you will be wrapping it yourself or plan to wrap in the future.
When you wrap a vehicle you need to plan shit out first really well, you need to work with the body lines and make it easy for yourself.
You will need a heat gun, good quality vinyl with good air release underneath, we don’t like using 3M, we only use Avery, we’re based in Australia but I’m sure you’d be able to get the material over there. Do not fuckin use soapy water please man that’s a massive mistake and it will fuck up the wrap if it has air release channels. Wrapping is a 2-4 man job, vinyl is very stretchable so use that to your advantage and stretch the vinyl over as much of the panel as possible, applying it to the biggest flat surface available first and working from there, use a soft squidgy to push all the air out and whenever the material creases use heat and stretch it out. Buy knifeless tape and lay it underneath the vinyl to make certain cuts easier, if an angle is too much for the vinyl too handle or if it wraps then overlay instead and use the tape to cut a perfect line. The most important thing is post heating the edges of the wrap, buy a laser heat sensor and head all the edges to 100c not sure what is it in stupid units but work it out, then apply pressure and the edges won’t peel up. Oh wait for the wrap to cool down whenever you make cuts or use thread to cut it or you’ll legit fuck up the whole thing. Good luck bro I was a sander and painter before and having done both I’d say they’re just as hard as each other. Absolutely love your current project, been following you since before I even started working in the automotive industry and your videos have taught me a lot so I hope I’m giving back in some kind of way! Keep at it brother!!

  9. I feel like the only one who doesn't like the fender mirrors. I honestly like the way the usdm model looked. Of course, your car your way. It's just always eluded me why people like it so much

  10. Dont forget to close the middel airslots in the whiperpannel over the last 2 Velocity Stacks befor painting!!!!
you dont want water or any dirt suckt in the engine on the way to sema 😉
