  2. As a rotary builder tuner that has ran into ransom turbo issues through the years.

    I suggest a better radiator and a proper oil cooler with thermostat.

    Also. Protect the wastegate hat/ diaphragm from melting and causing over boost by adding a nice heatshield to it. Even water cooled gates could suffer.

  4. we normally use mild steel steam pipe for tubing and bends, 5/8th thick header flange . you have a fair bit of weight hanging off the engine and steam will last forever.
    also waste gate placement should always be a priority, no different to the mr2, it should be on the 90 degree bend before turbo. you have the room. rotaries flow way more exhaust gasses than a piston engine remember that. you will have trouble controlling boost especially low boost levels. apart from that its rad.

  6. I would think ur gunna have boost creep with ur wastegate on a straight piece like that. The corner would been best spot.

Just a helpful tip to get those shop floors clean of that transmission ATF fluid all you need is a 5 gallon bucket and half cup or whole cup of any kind of grease and stain fighting liquid laundry detergent, high efficiency tide deep clean detergent is my preference. Mix up the half/whole cup of detergent with atleast 3 gallons of water in a bucket, brush it out onto the floor, wait 20 to 30 minutes, scrub lightly, rinse and it should be clean 👍👍

  8. Cooling won't be a problem with an efficient fan shroud. That radiator is plenty size for the application it's channeling the air flow onto the fins that's the issue. You will probably blow that radiator at some point during a full send burnout. Good luck

  9. Idk about no blow off. All that air has to go somewhere when you let off the throttle. Throttle body and and turbo are the only places it can go. Too much boost may bend the Throttle body butterfly or put some strain on the turbo forcing its way back out.

  10. Kyle, what are your real goals for this build? Are you building a burnout car only, or are you building an all around rotary turbo swapped Sidekick? The factory 1.6 or 1.8L engine only made like 95-120 HP. That little offroader should've had plenty of extra horsepower through a high compression bridge-ported 13B without a turbo, but a Vargas built 13B-REW with that huge of a turbo will make that thing utterly scary. I have a 709 wheel horsepower 97 Civic coupe and it scares tf out of me under 30 psi of boost. It weighs 2400 lbs with me in it and it scares me on the street, but with this rotary, the noise of it, and how hard it's going to pull at full boost it's going to be plenty enough to necessitate racing seats. I know that you know Hondas and my coupe has ITR red Recaros, which hug my fat ass plenty, but if I was still rocking my Civic's stock seats it'd throw me all around.
