The Major Crimes Auto Squad, Southwest Detectives and Airport Police are presently investigating approximately 25 thefts and 5 point of gun robberies from car rental agencies located along 1 Arrival Rd at the Philadelphia International Airport.
The offenders would get into 3 to 4 cars and line them up before driving to the exit booth. The operator of the first car approaches the booth and points a handgun at the attendant. The operator threatens to shoot the attendant unless the attendant opens the gate. Once the gate is open, all of the cars drive out.
