Teen Employee’s Sneaky Scheme: Inside the Five Below Money Heist

#CrimeCamNow
In Chamblee, Georgia, on June 10, 2022, a surprising situation unfolded at the local Five Below store. A 17-year-old employee was found to be involved in some money-related problems.
The store’s loss prevention team noticed something unusual happening with the money at the store. They discovered that the young employee had been doing things that weren’t right. He was making returns that weren’t real and moving money onto his own debit and credit cards. In just 10 days, he took almost $2,300.
At first, the store thought that because he was only 17, he might not face serious consequences. However, the Chamblee Police explained that in Georgia, when it comes to crime, even 17-year-olds are treated like adults.
So, the young employee was arrested and charged with theft.
