On November 25th, 2022, Chamblee Police officers responded to a call at a local dealership regarding a suspicious individual involved in a fraudulent car transaction. The officers arrived at the scene to investigate the matter and apprehend the suspect.
Upon approaching the suspect, the officers questioned him about his involvement with the fraudulent paperwork used to purchase a vehicle. The suspect vehemently denied any knowledge of the fraud, claiming that he was merely picking up a car for a friend. However, the officers remained skeptical and continued their investigation.
As the officers conversed with the suspect inside the dealership office, the suspect suddenly made a reckless decision. In an attempt to evade arrest, he forcefully pushed one of the officers and bolted towards the exit. However, he was met with two other officers stationed outside, who swiftly pursued him.
Despite his efforts to escape, the suspect’s run was short-lived, and the officers quickly caught up to him. Refusing to comply with their commands, the suspect’s resistance escalated, prompting one of the officers to deploy a Taser to subdue him. With the suspect incapacitated, the officers proceeded to handcuff him and conduct a thorough search.
However, even after being restrained, the suspect’s defiance persisted. He attempted to flee once again, but the officers skillfully prevented his escape. Finally, they successfully placed him inside the police car, ensuring his confinement.
The suspect now faces multiple charges, including assault against a police officer, providing false identification, obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, and other related offenses. He was transported to the DeKalb County jail
