RESPECT ME: Passed Out in Hotel Lobby, Urinated on a Police Vehicle

#CrimeCamNow
On April 3, 2022, Dunwoody police officers responded to a call from Crowne Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, regarding a male who had fallen asleep in the lobby.
The officers promptly woke him up and checked his identification. The man explained that he was homeless and traveled from place to place.
The hotel employee expressed the desire to have the individual removed from the property, so the officers allowed him to go on his way.
However, as the officers were about to leave the hotel themselves, they noticed the man still on the premises.
Advising him to leave once again, the officers observed a significant wet spot behind one of their police vehicles.
Questioning the man about the incident, he denied urinating, instead claiming to have thrown a rock and regurgitated.
Unconvinced, the officers instructed him to leave. However, the hotel employee now wanted to trespass him from the property, leading to his detention.
During the process of checking his identification once more, the officers discovered an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Consequently, he was taken into custody and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
