Reckless Driving Bust: Police Uncover Stolen Cards and Guns

#CrimeCamNow

On September 21, 2022, a Chamblee police officer was conducting a routine patrol when he witnessed a Dodge Charger and a Chevrolet Tahoe make an illegal left turn at a red traffic light. Promptly pulling over both vehicles, the officer began his investigation.

The driver of the Charger immediately complied with the officer’s request to stop. However, the driver of the Tahoe parked the vehicle in a handicapped spot and exited the car before the assisting officer arrived, raising suspicion.

Upon questioning, the Charger’s driver claimed that they had just purchased the Tahoe from a dealership and had all the necessary paperwork inside the vehicle. The officer, curious about the absence of a license plate and the presence of only a “test drive” paper plate on the Tahoe, probed further.

Meanwhile, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the Charger. The driver of the Charger denied having any drugs in the car but admitted to having a Draco pistol in the back seat. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of identification cards and bank cards belonging to different individuals.

In the meantime, the Tahoe’s driver made a call to Jim Ellis dealership. An employee came and tried to explain the “test drive” plate on the Tahoe. A K9 unit was summoned to inspect for drugs, and the dog alerted to the presence of drugs on the Tahoe’s driver’s side. A subsequent search revealed a firearm stashed in the center console, which the Tahoe’s driver claimed belonged to his cousin.

With the situation now clear, the driver of the Tahoe received a ticket for reckless driving. However, the Charger’s driver was arrested on serious charges, including financial transaction card theft, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and reckless driving.

  1. They’re all dirty AFAIC, (dealer, GM, salesmen, dealer’s son) but naturally the lowest man on the totem pole is the one that gets burned.

  2. There no search warrant that’s illegal I’ll be down there tommrow to report these cops I’m tierd of this ima lawyer that’s wrong I’m on my way right now

  3. You can leave a dealer with the test drive tag if they want the sale bad enough. I had a test drive tag for a whole weekend because I was going out of town they had my down payment already but they gave me paper work just in case I got pulled over.

  4. Is that the fraud squad at @17:17 I think i remember that lady cop from another video with some ppl who were trying to buy a car with a fake ID or something lol.

  5. Bra got super confident after remembering to say “extension on a test drive.” He double down and no listen again! Cops was like “ohhhhhh naw he full of shit” 😂

  6. see how nice and easy this goes when they just comply? he was safe and treated nicely because he acted like a normal adult human. this needs to be an educational video for inner city kids.

  9. The cop at the end of this mess should shut his mouth that general manager only explained himself 5 times he kept going and going shut up already please get a life that gm should of slapped him in the face and I am keeping this very respectful I could of said what I would of done if I was the general manager in that situation

  10. The Dealership is in on the scam, allowing the suspect to falsify and agreement in which they all get a cut out of the deal. I am pretty sure the police will investigate and figure it all out, plus its all on Camera.
