Chamblee police officers were called to an apartment complex in Atlanta on March 9, 2023, to investigate a report of loud screaming coming from one of the units. When they arrived, they heard a female screaming “Get off me” and immediately entered the apartment to investigate.
Inside, they found a male suspect on top of a female, and quickly intervened to separate them. After speaking to both parties, it was determined that the male had been attempting to leave the apartment, but the female had stood in front of the door and prevented him from doing so.
The male suspect refused to identify himself and became increasingly agitated, prompting officers to place him in handcuffs for their own safety. He was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault and simple battery. The suspect was booked into the Dekalb County Jail.
