Police Arrest Suspect in Lowes Tool Theft

On February 1, 2023, Chamblee police officers responded to a report of a theft at Lowes. The suspect had allegedly stolen DeWalt tools worth $400.
Upon arriving at the scene, the first officer found the suspect hiding in nearby bushes. The suspect attempted to flee, but the second officer was able to intercept him.
After a short chase, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody. He was charged with obstruction of law enforcement officers, theft by shoplifting and transported to DeKalb county jail.
The Chamblee Police Department encourages anyone with information about this incident or other crimes to come forward and assist in keeping the community safe.
