On November 27, 2022, Miami-Dade Police officers were called to the airport for a medical emergency after the flight crew expressed concern that passenger was seriously ill.
They tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness, prior to their departure.
He was later identified as Odell Beckham Junior, NFL wide receiver.
Fearing that Mr. Beckham was seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5 hour flight, the attendants called for police and fire rescue.
Upon the officers arrival, the flight crew asked Mr. Beckham several times to exit the aircraft, which he refused.
The airplane was evacuated and Beckham ultimately got off the plane when asked by officers.
Beckham made other arrangements after being removed from the flight. He was not arrested in the incident.

I wonder how many funerals, weddings, anniversaries and connecting flights were missed by all the other passengers because of this one guy.
This whole situation is honestly BS. I’ve sat next people who were knocked out sleep on airplanes and the flight attendant sees them and just goes about doing their job and they let the person sleep. They felt some kind of way because it was Odell “a young black man richer than the majority of the people on the plane if not all”. This was their way of buck breaking Odell. Many of other races can’t stand the sight of a rich young black man . I see through the nonsense. They tried to buck break Odell and Odell wasn’t having it. Let that man sleep. These peoples egos just had to continually poke a super star. I’m starting to believe the world is against the black man. ✊🏽❤️
