On August 28, 2021, Doraville police officers responded to a hit-and-run incident in Doraville, Georgia.
The victims explained to the officers that a grey Chrysler bumped into them and tried to escape. They followed the escaping car for a short while, calling 911.
The Chrysler had to stop because of a flat tire. A black woman stepped out and seemed like she wanted to talk to the victim. But when she saw that the police were called, she just ran away.
The officers tried to find the suspect but couldn’t. They took statements from the victims, and the Chrysler was towed away.
The next day, officer found the woman who ran away. At first, she denied knowing anything, but officer knew it was her because she matched the description from the day of the crash.
she was arrested and charged with hit and run and following too closely.
She was transported to DeKalb county jail.
