On December 6, 2022, Brookhaven police officers responded to a hit and run motor vehicle accident in Atlanta, Georgia.
A car that had been reported stolen hit another vehicle and the driver of the stolen car left the scene.
Suspect gave false name, address and birthdate to law enforcement officer, but later was identified as career criminal Lewis, Darrell Bernard.
He was charged with attempting to elude a police officer, theft by receiving stolen property, aggravated assault, hit and run, obstruction and reckless driving.
