High-Speed Chase: Teens Flee from the Law

#CrimeCamNow
On January 8, 2022, an FCSO deputy’s routine patrol in Alpharetta, Georgia, turned dramatic when they spotted a Dodge Charger with suspended tag registration.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the Charger’s driver decided to make a run for it, setting off a high-speed chase.
As the chase unfolded, the Charger’s front tire lost air, forcing the driver to come to a halt. Two teenagers were found inside the car.
The male driver was promptly arrested, while the female passenger was detained. They were each placed in the backseat of separate patrol vehicles for questioning.
Curious about the reason for their impromptu escape, the deputy spoke to the female passenger.
She revealed that she had only recently met the male driver, and he had decided to flee because he had active warrants for his arrest.
The consequences of their high-speed chase led to a list of charges for the young driver, including failure to maintain insurance, driving with suspended registration, driving without working headlights, fleeing or attempting to elude for a felony offense, failure to obey traffic control device, center lane violation, and possession of marijuana (under 1 oz.).
