He Thought HIT AND RUN Was Just a JOKE…Until He Got ARRESTED

#CrimeCamNow

On June 12, 2022, a Brookhaven Police Officer was called to investigate a hit and run accident in Atlanta, Georgia. A truck hit a parked Tesla and left the scene of an accident.
Officers gathered all the evidence including witness statements, victim statements, photographs of the scene and video footage.
A police officer called the suspect to notify him about a hit and run investigation involving his truck.
Six months later, Brookhaven police officers on patrol scanned the license plate and obtained information about the owner’s existing warrant for arrest. A truck was pulled over for further investigation.
When an officer asked about a hit and run accident, the driver denied his involvement and thought it was a phony call.
A police officer called an investigator to confirm the warrant status and took pictures of the vehicle’s damage.
He was charged with hit and run and duty to report an accident.

  1. Wow, in my 5 years of police study, this is the first gay AND black cop I've ever seen! That's awesome 😛

  2. Y’all see this ? This guy is a black man, but when you cooperate, everything goes smooth. Most of these body cams I see mf act out and get so many charges in their name when it was probably going to be just a warning

  3. If he drove over to that accident site I wonder if they would have arrested him anyways. And i wonder if you say like hey im drunk maybe id be better off with a leaving the scene charge rather than a dui. His mistake was not turning himself in. So he would just get arrested randomly. Although sometimes that can take years and years

  4. THIS GUY is the poster child for how you behave with the cops, even if you don’t think you did anything wrong. Mad respect.

  5. The only hit and run case that was a 100% pleasant experience for everyone over a 6 month period.

  6. Even if they only solve 19% of homocides, on average, in their own communities—I think the addition of BLM officers is a great improvement!!!

  7. This is how an interaction with law enforcement should go. This guy has done wrong, but I love his attitude, and it definitely reflected in how the entire incident went down. No voices raised, no one had to go hands-on, the police officers were respectful, the young man was respectful, and everyone went home safely.

    Bravo to everyone.

  8. Everyone involved was cool. Don’t give cops props often, but they were all super respectful and that makes a huge difference

  9. I feel bad for this guy…so nice and understanding despite the circumstances. Don't know if he had anything to do with the hit and run or not, but I hope he can get everything figured out and get back to his life.

  10. Bro had a warrant for almost 6 months and not once y’all pulled up at his home? What’s even the point of the warrant then

  11. There ain’t no dang way that should hold up in court. They had your information enough to have your phone number but not bothered enough to go by your address. And took 6 months to see the truck cause now there’s absolutely no way u can prove any damage on the vehicle currently had nothing to do with the hit and run.
