On May 12, 2022, the Chamblee Police Department responded to a distress call from a local grocery store reporting a theft in progress. A male suspect had allegedly loaded up on items and brazenly left without paying.
Officers swiftly located the suspect and initiated a conversation, hoping for cooperation. However, he adamantly denied any wrongdoing, dropping the pilfered items to the ground. Seizing an opportunity, the suspect took off, fleeing from the pursuing officer.
In a daring attempt to evade capture, he sought refuge in a Marta train station, blending in with regular passengers. Determined to apprehend the suspect, an assisting officer promptly halted the train, initiating a thorough search.
After a few tense moments, the elusive suspect was discovered and taken into custody. He now faces charges of Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers and Burglary in the Second Degree.

That female officer is a disgrace. First she lets him run off, then gets completely exhausted after running less than a minute. And on top of that failes to grab his stuff of off the train before it leaves. 🫣
