From Tough Talk with Baby Mama to Fast and Furious: Confrontation with Deputies

#CrimeCamNow
On January 15, 2024, deputies from the Flagler County Sheriff’s office raced to a Palm Coast residence in response to a domestic disturbance call.
Upon arrival, they encountered a tense situation involving a man, a woman, and a child.
The man explained to deputies that he had been asked by the woman to watch her child for a short period of time.
However, their arrangement was disrupted when the child’s father, who was on probation following a prior arrest, unexpectedly appeared at the house.
Angered by the presence of another man in the home, the child’s father erupted into a fit of rage, pushing and screaming.
As deputies rushed to the address, the father, identified as King, fled in a black Ford Fusion.
A deputy spotted the vehicle and began following at a safe distance, awaiting backup.
He accelerated recklessly, reaching speeds of up to 80 miles per hour through the residential area.
In a daring attempt to halt the pursuit, deputies deployed stop sticks, successfully deflating one of the vehicle’s tires.
He turned onto a dirt trail leading into a heavily wooded area and stopped when he struck a large sand berm.
Abandoning the car, he fled on foot deeper into the forest. Undeterred, deputies pursued him on foot and managed to apprehend him after a brief chase
He was charged with three counts of Fleeing and Eluding, Reckless Driving, and Resisting an Officer without Violence and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.
