On October 7, 2021, Doraville police officers stumbled upon a motionless white sedan, haunting the streets of Doraville, Georgia.
Upon closer inspection, the officers observed a sleeping female, a loaded gun in the center console, her foot firmly on the brake, and the vehicle in drive.
the officers woke her up and asked her to step out of the car.
The confused lady, still half-asleep, admitted she’d left Tongue & Groove nightclub after downing four tequilas, not sure where she was.
the officer asked her to participate in a field sobriety test to check if she was okay to drive.She agreed, but the results showed she might not be.
Things got serious when she said no to a breath test, and they had to arrest her.
She was charged with DUI and impeding traffic flow. She was first transported to Doraville police department and then to Dekalb county jail.

She doesn't sound drunk.
One of the few drunk drivers that I've seen that appears to be generally honest. Saying anything but "two drinks" already makes her unusual, and i felt like she was telling the truth about pulling over. Four tequila drinks is plenty to get many people intoxicated. I feel like she didn't want to say to much, to not incriminate herself and maybe for other reasons, but it seems like she had some trouble at the bar, probably with the "stalker" she mentioned, she was drunk and upset and drove away, had her gun out, and stopped to call a friend to get her because she couldn't drive. Clearly not a safe condition to be in, but it's not as bad as acting with malice or bad intent, and i always feel like it's better to at least stop driving. She acted like an adult and didn't embarrass herself any more than most drunk people do, and far less than many. These are the sort I hope learn their lesson and do better in the future.
I'm not sure how you have not a clue as to where you are but in 10 minutes can say that your mother lives at the next exit. And she wasn't right around the corner from the bar in downtown Atlanta. No telling what her BAC was.

Let’s say her stalker found her car and she was in the condition she is in now..OR it wasn’t cops that found her, a random person did and knocked on the door. As drunk as she is, picks up the gun and shoots the person. Her life is over. YOU CAN NOT CARRY A FIREARM WHEN YOURE INTOXICATED. Some states you can’t even enter a Bar with a firearm even if you’re dead sober and the DD

I honestly do believe she started driving, realized she was drunk, called her friend to come get her, but she just didn’t make it to that meeting point. Just glad nobody got hurt. I wish all drunks were as respectful as her.

If the driver is too impaired to operate the motor vehicle and there's no sober passenger to drive the motor vehicle, cops will 85 your motor vehicle to the impound location.
