On December 8, 2022, a Brookhaven Police Officer was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle parked at the Marta bus stop facing the wrong direction on Buford Hwy in Atlanta, Georgia. When the officer stopped to investigate, he found a person asleep in the driver’s seat.
When an officer asked what she was doing there, the driver wasn’t able to provide any explanation. While talking with the driver, an officer noticed her glossy eyes and slurred speech.
Based on the observations, the officer asked her to participate in standardized field sobriety tests, but she refused and was arrested on the suspicion of DUI. She was charged with DUI and driving a vehicle on the right side of the road.
