On October 22, 2023, FCSO deputies responded to a subdivision in Palm Coast, Florida, with a drunk male acting belligerent and arguing with a female in the roadway.
Upon arrival, the male, who was later identified as 40-year-old Shawn Madden, acted in an aggressive manner, screaming and threatening to fight deputies.
As deputies attempted to deescalate the situation and calm Madden, he pulled his pants down, exposing his genitals to deputies and other bystanders in the area.
Deputies were able to safely take Madden into custody shortly later.
While being transported to jail, he used derogatory language to insult the deputy, but the deputy remained composed and professional.
Madden was arrested for Disorderly Intoxication – Alcohol, indecent exposure, Assault on an Officer, and Resisting an Officer Without Violence. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and later released after posting $2,000 bond.
