Albuquerque, New Mexico — On June 24, 2023, around 3:30 p.m. 41-year-old Mark Peter was found in a car passed out parked at the AutoZone across the street from the market. Albuquerque Police ran the plate of the vehicle and discovered Peter had several felony warrants out for his arrest. Police gave Peter several chances to come out peacefully. Eventually, Peter woke up and took off, so police popped his tires. Minutes later video shows officers running after him into the El Mezquite Market.

Two officers tried to tase Peter, but Peter pulled out a gun and started shooting at them. That’s when officers started shooting at Peter as he shot back. Several people were at checkout lines when Peter ran inside. Peter reportedly fired 13 shots at officers, and they returned 45 shots. Peter later died from his injuries. No one else was injured in the shootout. Police stated Peter had multiple felony warrants, including one for drug trafficking after he was found by Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies in April, passed out in his car. Investigators got a search warrant for the car and found a gun and drugs inside.

  1. Surprised the 556 round didn’t over penetrate into the officer behind the subject. That crossfire situation was intense to say the least.

  2. Really he got Tased and you must be blind too don't see he is no Danger anymore. But that don't stops the killer Police force from deplete 3 magazins? Wow
I mean even when you get executed by shooting you don't get this many bullets.

  3. I was a cop in the 80s and 90s. Back then the rules were wiser than they are now. Back then, an armed guy heading into a confined space with innocent bystanders would be shot before he could get inside. Today, cops are afraid some democrat prosecutor who wants a few cops' scalps on his belt to give him liberal cred will move heaven and earth to convict them of murder, and jurors' minds are so polluted by the lies told about police use of force, so they could well convict a shooting that was totally necessary. So, the cops let the guy get to where he posed a very high risk of killing an innocent. That guy could have gotten a few shots off at innocent people, and everyone would be saying "why didn't the cops shoot him before he entered the store????" The answer is: Cops don't trust you to acquit them if they do, so you just have to risk being killed by guys like this.

  4. At 2:29 when tazer has deployed suspect squeezes the trigger and fired the first shot to the officer, luckily it didn't hit that officer likely in the head as well.

  5. The store camera really showed how hectic the scene was!!! Literally just a bunch of folk going on with their day, and there goes a group of cops screaming chasing some dvmbass into the store. How scary

  6. For that poor cashier who had to take cover right under the police officer shooting , that was a ROUGH day . Hope the poor bugger got the rest of it off.

  7. I bet the cops would have gotten criticism or even charges if the would have shot him before he went into the store. Instead it became i shootout with crossfire and a bunch of civilians around it. It’s not easy being a cop.

  8. The officer with the AR is a public danger .. shooting with an AR in a supermarket with so many colleagues and potential civilians behind, I'm surprised no one got hit
