CPU has noticed the uptake of Officers using Social Media (Facebook, Twitter etc.) While on Active Duty….even though the NYPD Patrol Guide forbids this kind of thing while on duty….There are a massive amount of officers being distracted with thier personal devices which spells out danger for both the officer and the civilians Tax Payers pay to protect and serve…CPU is in the beginning of recording ALL OFFICERS while they are using thier personal devices and put them on YouTube to expose this danger towards the people in the community…If we have officers looking down into their phones exploring social media while on active duty, then we need to put a stop to that and have these officers pay attention to the people they are paid to protect…..
