On 04-22-21 at approx 10:30pm at 59th Street & 5th Avenue in Manhattan, NYPD Strategic Response Group (SRG) Officers attacked protesters as they were on their way home from the end of a protest that goes on every Thursday (Stonewall Protest).
When the crowd began to disperse, SRG began to target certain organizers by arresting them violently, while everyone began to crowd around to see what was going on, NYPD SRG began to swing their batons, hitting several people, an officer was also seen throwing punches and then pushing people violently to the floor injuring several people.
The Right to freely protest is being violated by the NYPD, they continue to target peaceful marching protesters, agitating them and provoking to effect mass arrests.
