The stop and search, as well as the sergeant’s unprofessionalism in demanding papers/ID is no different to the behaviour of the East German Communist state where everyone would tell the cops about anyone else they might not like. It results in an awful society where there’s no trust and the cops have the powers to make you disappear for a short time or forever.

    Why the police behave this way, lying to justify their own actions it’s just a short step over a very fine line and now you’re in a police state complete with the secret police keeping tabs on everyone. America seems to push at, and occasionally step over that line and the only thing keeping them in check is those BodyCams that seem to get broken at important moments.
    There are ample examples of cops muting the microphone, and/or covering the lens, which is a practice they’ve become used to in order to conspire and collude with colleagues.

    Time to get BodyCam that can’t be stopped at all, that records the entire shift and whilst it’s recharging before next shift, it downloads the day’s police behaviour to be stored on a server farm to which the cops have no legitimate access.
