Spokane is known for being over the top. Go there often. Had one complaint that I did come to a complete stop at a red light. We have bigger crimes to worry about. That was an actual Spokane police officer though. Not a Spokane county Sheriff. This guy thinks thinks violence = respect. It breeds hate and mistrust.

just last year i was attacked by cops, issued no citation, given a concussion and several severe facial fractures, and then let go because i'd committed no crimes. and the topper is that city i was in requires no body cams. the cops made no record of the incident, they let me drive myself home half dead and i don't even remember the majority of the drive home because i was in and out of consciousness. in the state i was in i had no ability to demand names or protect my own rights, i only have scattered memories of the event due to the head injury. i had no ability to demand anything be done. i feel totally helpless and that's exactly how they seemed to want me to feel. watching this video was very hard and evoked a lot of ptsd. it would be one thing to be in a fair fight, but to be stuck fighting cops, when you aren't trying to escalate anything, and you can't fight back, and you're not allowed to even defend yourself, it's rough to watch… it's one of the most terrifying things you can imagine happening… you're not allowed to even attempt to block or protect yourself from their punches or kicks, if you do try to protect yourself they feel emboldened to not only attack you more, but also to threaten you with more criminal actions against you like "resisting and obstruction", like really? me trying to protect myself from more brain damage and facial fractures is against the law? even when i'm being attacked for no legal reason? it's horrifying to relive and horrifying to watch others suffer through, yet it must be seen, everyone needs to see this stuff and understand what policing often looks like in america these days. hope everyone is well out there, stay safe brothers and sisters <3
