    We all know is how that the disinformation didn’t come from Mother Russia. It came from the NY Post itself which characterized the laptop data as proof solid of a criminal syndicate.

    Now we know there was no evidence of a crime on the laptop. Every lead has proven to be false or innocent (car payments anyone?). And now we know one of the lead “witnesses” has been lying the whole time.

24. It’s hard to take serious accusations of fraud over a headline when the headline for this piece says it’s about the laptop, but the reality it’s mostly about CBS layoffs and other news outlets.

43. Bri is 100 percent correct about local news. I live in a large city and there is basically no local reporting other than reading press releases from police departments, mayors offices, etc
    There is zero investigative reporting locally. The same handful of companies of bought all the tv, radio, and newspapers, and they lay off a majority of the local staff.
