  1. I'm so excited for the Pixel Tablet!! I'm hoping that they also release a Pixel Tablet Pro model eventually too which would at least give people the option to get better hardware specs. They stated at the Pixel hardware event last year that it will launch with the Tensor G2 chip which I think will have plenty of power to be able to do most (if not all) of the things you need or want to do on a tablet.

  2. My opinion is if you want it that's great but if not that's cool too. There's a lot out there so get what you want. If this tablet feels like just a quick money grab it's a no this go around from me.

  3. Android apps do work fine on tablets because they work exactly the same as they do on android phones. Scaling problems? what are you talking about? I’ve never had a android tablet with that issue. I don’t have any black bars on any apps and all apps go to the edges of the screen. Meanwhile on iOS iPad a lot of apps are still not set up to work on it properly, like instagram. Why doesn’t the iPad have a proper instagram app for iPad in 2022?

  4. The camera being at the top horizontally is the first good sign. Google actually knows that the majority of people use the tablet in landscape mode to begin with. Apple should follow through so it doesn’t always look like I’m looking to the top right of my screen on FaceTime.

  5. If that tablet can be a chromebook by adding a keyboard, and not just a nest hub, it'll be fine, but as many here said, I'm skeptical

  6. I can't wait to put my hands on the Pixel Tablet. I am hoping that Google will feature at least a couple of sizes. 8 to 10 inches would be my choice. Recently, I bought the iPad mini. I liked the size, but not the display or Apple's software. I gave it to my daughter. She was happy and I was happy to get rid of it. Google can definitely deliver a better tablet. I have no doubt.

  7. Google needs to fix their god awful chrome browser for android tablets, tab management is a joke when literally every other browser lets u see all your tabs in a grid view.

  8. I'm not going to go for the Pixel Tablet series, since the Tab S8 allows up to 14 icons on the Taskbar compared to 5 on stock Android.

  9. If Google can incorporate wacom technology just has Samsung did or any other graphical technology it should play the game. It will be appropriate if Google can work on android tablet Is which it user experience will be designed for tablet. The premium depends on the specs it has to offer. Let give them a try. I will like if you can work on Nokia T21 Vs Google pixel tablet next year

  10. "Android tablet space is a mess… high end expensive options… sub $100 devices"
Ohh no, there is options!?! If you can't handle options, buy Apple and enjoy your locked experience.

  11. Google needs to realize they have an audience/customer that supports their products. We want a Google phone, earbuds and tablet. We need Google to have their own ecosystem– as stupid as that word is. But I'm not wearing Nikes with an Adidas shirt. Ijs

  12. They should have a desktop version of Google Chrome (with extension support), as well as create software that is good for professionals, media-creators, business, and education. IN other words, anyone who may buy the device with a specific use-case in mind. It must excel at many things like the iPad. It needs to also have good multitasking capabilities, like on Chrome OS. It needs to compete with the "laptop replacement" philosophy to compete with iPads. It must have good software that takes advantage of its screen real-estate, and if consumers realize any faults that an iPad may not have, then it will not do so well. They have a lot of improving to do for sure.

  13. on android tablets you basically have the choice between samsung, lenovo, huawei and amazon on the cheap end. everything else is just cheap useless crap. android isnt bad for a tablet. never had anything crash.

  14. Google needs a seperate play store for tablets with higher pay out rates per dowoad similar to what android got earlier
Fuschia with 2 play stores and offline engine will be a great option as well
