  1. Hello everyone and thank you for watching! A few notes.

    1. This is my first video with my other new camera (last one didn't work out). I set some settings to stuff I normally wouldn't and it resulted in higher than average moire (the lines on the screen). I have rectified the settings and my next one should look a lot cleaner.

    2. I didn't film it or mention it in the video, but I did check to see if there was a new Easter egg. There is not, still stuck on Android 11's Easter egg.

    3. As usual, if I missed anything or you want to leave feedback, shoot a comment and I'll try to read and respond to as many as I can!

  2. I may be a little paranoid or skeptical here but I couldn't help but notice the face detection disclosure said images are not stored or sent to Google. Facial recognition isn't using the images themselves for facial recognition. Rather, it usually matches points of interest and their relationships to each other and the disclosure says nothing about whether or not that data is captured and stored or sent to Google. While they shouldn't need to capture much of that information to detect orientation, it concerns me they used the term images rather than data. To me, it implies there may be data being stored or sent that is not being disclosed. I own a Pixel 3a, am quite happy with it, and will likely upgrade to another Pixel but I wish that explanation didn't leave me wondering if it's clear or just nuanced.

  3. So basicly many of the features are just years old Samsung (and others) features as always🤷‍♂️ A shame stock Android is behind on such basic functions compared to many others skin on top of Android. But good it's getting better.

  4. Joe, I started watching your videos in the leadup to Lollipop back in the day! That was such a shakeup with Material Design, and now as we move into the era of Material You and a whole new look and feel for Android, it's nice to make the journey with a familiar face (and voice). Thanks for all your content over the years!

  5. Kinda wish i didnt update to this version, it seems to be the most buggy and unstable of the three so far for me, wallpapers and colors still bug out like crazy, phone seems to not run as smooth, the themed icons dont always turn off or on when asked, they changed the google pills and completely broke the styling of the app drawer one

  6. You dont have to wait Samsung has all these features on their device its called Samsung One UI with the addition of Samsung Good Lock (Good Lock is only available in the galaxy store) just look at the video's. Review of One UI and samsung watchs

It's like Google went to Samsung and said can we give up. We will just implement your OS into ours. Both phone OS and wear OS.

  7. What I need from Android: battery health information, notifications synchronization between apps/devices/services, prevent by turned off when phone locked, full phone backup, better widget implementation, screen colour tuning option.

  8. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they're making the Quick Settings / Notification Shade background dark regardless of the theme active. I truly believe they won't change it, as the final versions advertised look exactly the same. Moronic decision.
