PASADENA POLICE DEPARTMENT CRITICAL INCIDENT COMPLETE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE
MAY 17, 2019 OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA –Pasadena police department release multiple body camera , 911 audio calls video of officer-involved shooting that left armed suspect dead

On Friday May 17, 2019, an Officer Involved Shooting occurred on
Glen Ave. north of Howard St. involving three Pasadena Police officers.

Police said they confronted a suspect who was wearing a bulletproof vest and holding a firearm. An officer-involved shooting occurred when the suspect allegedly pointed the firearm, an AR-15 rifle, at them.
There was an exchange of gunfire and the suspect, identified as Daniel Warren, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No officers were injured during this incident but the suspect Daniel Warren unfortunately died from his injuries. The
attached Critical Incident Community Briefing video is based upon a preliminary review
of the incident, which is still under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s
Homicide Bureau, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office Officer Involved Shooting
Team, and the Pasadena Police Department Professional Standards Detectives.
Additional facts may be discovered as more evidence is located and reviewed.
The Pasadena Police Department conducts thorough Use of Force investigations,
outside the review of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which includes,
interviewing witnesses, involved officers, analyzing video and forensic evidence, as well
as eyewitness statements. After the investigation is completed the Police Chief will
make a final determination whether the officers involved acted within department policy.

  2. Why in the hell did the cops just roll on by the first time? Those 911 calls said the guy was harassing people. They heard him screaming over there. They were being lazy and were hoping he would just go away. He didnt.

  3. People are complaining about the 911-dispatch, but she have already alarmed and the units is on their way there while she continues to talk to the caller. The more information she can get from the caller the more information she can pass on to the police dispatch. And that caller and her family did a great job at getting them information 👍

  33. Just in case, it should be protocol for EMS to either be there, or to standby. That way if anyone gets shot or hurt somehow. A medical team would be better off being there to help save lives on either side of the law. 😉

  38. Cops could have stopped this happening but said they can't do anything because he is on private property. Are they not even allowed to do a welfare check as I heard a woman arguing, but at least it's another crim of the street.
